In this months issue of SKIsport, the biggest skiing magasin in Norway, my sister Barbro explains the benefits of doing some Ski Orienteering for XC skiers and how fun it is:
I saw that you and Emily are creating an MTBO map of your area, have you tried downloading the open (SOSI) map data of your community, and then import that into OCAD (via sosi2dxf)?
This gives a stable, geo-referenced base which you can then import any existing O maps, along with gpx track logs from your rides, in order to make a useful final result.
Thanks Terje. I shall be sure to try it!
